Our Minor Ladies played Ballinamere/Durrow in Round 4 of the Minor Championship in Tubber under lights on Thursday. A very strong and fast Ballinamere/Durrow team had built up an unassailable lead by half-time. However, our minor ladies did manage to put in a much improved second-half performance, displaying admirable courage and fighting qualities, to ensure that the game at least finished on a respectable scoreline, with our girls being beaten by 4-08 to 1-06. Best wishes and speedy recovery to Mary Harkin, who suffered a serious ankle injury on the night. Best wishes too to Martha Healy, who is also out injured after Thursday's game.
